A mindful drawing practice
This Week
Let the pencil find its way across the page. Notice where the line wants to go. The breath can guide the hand, or we can let the hand guide the breath.
Join the session on YouTube. Bring whatever you have: pencil, pen, charcoal. The mark matters, not the surface underneath it.

About the Practice
Let us pay attention through the hand. Each session finds a different quality of mark, a way the eye and pencil settle into something unfamiliar.
The practice unfolds slowly, not toward a finished piece, but toward the work itself. Stay with it and see what happens.
About Robert
Robert Brackett is an artist and educator exploring the space between drawing and meditation. His work investigates how slow mark-making becomes a form of attention. He teaches at Pratt Institute and shares weekly drawing sessions online.
